Indiana Earthquake

Sholty Debra just opened their business in the morning in Kokomo, Ind., when an earthquake rumbled the strength of 4.2 by the central north of the state.

    "It was like a huge explosion under my feet, " said Sholty, the owner cleaning Hobson.

    According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake struck shortly before 8 clock, and was three miles deep. It was about 15 miles southeast of Kokomo, 50 miles north of Indianapolis centered.

    No immediate damage was reported at Indianapolis, although some residents were caught near the epicenter of the intensity of the earthquake.

    It was "a very strong explosion, " said Sholty. "I really felt. ... It was like lifting something hit the building from below. In fact, I felt one."

    Laura Smith, who works for grid-connected wind turbines in the vicinity told CNN that he initially thought a truck had lost its building to try to make a delivery.

    "The whole building shook, " he said. "You could feel his body trembling."

    "It was unbelievable, " he said. "I personally thought it was exciting."

    Jerry Fischer, owner of Hair Care East Kokomo, said the quake shook the creation of "very good", but are on the shelves.

    "It was a big thunder attack, " said Missy Dulmen, which was home for breakfast at the time. "You could hear the movement of money in the drawer and pulled the table."

    Dulmen, said he worried at first was a water line was broken.

    Few people in contact with CNN, however, said he was shocked by the incident, which is most often associated with cities such as cities on the west coast of Los Angeles as the heart of Kokomo.
