ONATHAN Ross was left ­“completely devastated” when his beloved dog Mr Pickle died while filming on the Trans-­Siberian Railway.
Ross and his black pug had flown out to Moscow to record an ITV series set to feature the two of them ­travelling the 5,600-mile route from Russia to China.
Details about what happened are not clear, but it is believed the family pet died on the train. Ross, 51, was said to be “inconsolable” and the series was canned.
The star, who has two daughters and a son with wife Jane, was so upset he has barely spoken about it since. He took Mr Pickle on his BBC chat show four years ago and ­regularly tweeted about his antics at home.
Mr Pickle’s personal website was taken down ­because it was too upsetting for Ross and his family. Friends told how the TV presenter had always dreamed of making the journey on the world-famous railway line. He thought the series, produced by his own Hot Sauce company, would gain an extra twist if he took Mr Pickle along.
He jetted out to the Russian capital three months ago to start preliminary filming.
The night before, he excitedly tweeted:“I gotta go to bed. Am heading to Moscow tomorrow. With Mr Pickle. Couldn’t make it up...”
But days later he was back in the UK and the series had been shelved.

Last night a TV associate of the star said: “One of the things Jonathan was really looking forward to after he left the BBC was getting to do a few more off-the-wall productions. Top of his list was this trip with Mr Pickle.
“He was incredibly devoted to Mr Pickle. Jonathan doesn’t really like talking about it so the details are a little sketchy, but it seems he died while on the train.
“To say Jonathan was devastated is an ­understatement, he was totally distraught.”
The source added: “Jonathan thought about making the trip alone, but just couldn’t bring himself to do it.”

Jesse James

It's interesting, when you think about it, that the English language has all manner of harsh, derogatory terms for unfaithful, promiscuous women. Whore. Slut. Vamp. Harlot. Tramp. Strumpet. Tart. Skank.
Not so when it comes to cheating, philandering men.
Oh, there's bounder and rake and rascal and scoundrel and louse and, of course, cad.
But, oddly, they are all words with an impish air about them, as if the lads so described just can't help themselves, as if they are just boys being boys who can't keep it in their pants.
Meet Exhibit A: Jesse James. His is by now a well-told story: The tatted-out owner of Long Beach, Calif., custom bike shop West Coast Choppers (and, he claims, a descendent of legendary outlaw cowboy Jesse James) who became a TV star on Monster Garage and Jesse James Is a Dead Man and Celebrity Apprentice, and was married to actress Sandra Bullock.
It's a story about that unlikely matchup of bad boy American biker and good girl American sweetheart, and how it all spectacularly fell apart, within days of Bullock receiving the Best Actress Oscar in 2010 for The Blind Side, when a tabloid story forced James to confess that he had been cheating on her with buxom tattoo models.
Bullock retreated to Texas with her newly adopted infant son Louis, James went to rehab and then went on the defensive, and turned up a few months later in the company of celebrity tattoo artist and fellow reality star Kat von D.
And then he wrote a book and, last month, hit the talk show circuit to tell his side of the story.
American Outlaw (Gallery Books, $29.99), co-written with Sam Benjamin, is vintage redemption material, chronicling the hard-knock life of Hollywood's current public enemy No. 1.
But in seeking closure, if indeed that was his goal, James has simply been digging a deeper hole.

While shilling the book, he appeared on CNN's Piers Morgan Tonight, where he told the flummoxed Brit that Bullock's "I-adore-my-husband" speech on numerous awards shows over the years was mostly an act, because, after all, she is an actor.
Then there was his pronouncement on Howard Stern's radio show that Ms. Von D, now his fiance, is "100 per cent" better in bed than Bullock, that he never felt comfortable in the A-list world and that his latest arm candy is truly the love of his life.
Oh, he loved Bullock (and his first wife Karla and his second wife, porn-star Janine) but what's done is done and it's time to stop worrying about Sandy and start thinking of Jesse.
Most of the 350-odd pages of American Outlaw are devoted to the years before James married Bullock, and detail his misspent youth, his penchant for bad girls, his devotion to his kids and his work as a gifted gearhead.
In the final chapters are found the meat of the matter, his unease at being trapped in his high-profile marriage, of knowing that he would screw it up, of doing just that and living with the guilt until the day, Tuesday, March 16, 2010, when all hell broke loose.
He recalls the phone call from Bullock's publicist, warning him that a magazine was publishing a story about a woman who claimed to have had an affair with James, and then meeting with Bullock at his shop later that day, and telling her everything, and watching her cry, and hearing her ask him why and telling her he had no answer and sitting, stunned, as she got up, put on her sunglasses and walked out of his life forever.

Trace Adkins

THE country music star Trace Adkins has lost his Nashville home, his music awards and his family's possessions in a devastating house fire.
No one was hurt during the blaze, with Adkins wife Rhonda saying the couple's three daughters and nanny escaped unhurt, while the singer himself was on a plane on his way to Alaska at the time.
"You can replace things, not people. I'm just glad that my children are safe," Rhonda Adkins said.
The couple lived at the mansion in Brentwood, Nashville for 11 years. The fire broke out around 3:45pm local time on Saturday and quickly gutted the home, despite the efforts of firefighters.

"I'm just numb. I'm sad because we lost irreplaceable things like all Trace's awards and our family photos," Rhonda Atkins said.
She told WSMV-TV that the family had lost a lot of items of sentimental value, including the negatives of their wedding photos, but added, "It's just stuff."
A neighbor who saw the fire attempted to save the family dog but was bitten by the scared animal and required hospital treatment.
Brian Goss, the assistant fire chief for the Brentwood Fire and Rescue Department, said the fire started in the garage and spread up the walls to the attic, but it was not yet known what sparked the flames.

Mavis Pan

Chinese model-actress Mavis Pan Shuang Shuang, who was Hong Kong actor Raymond Lam's ex-girlfriend, is married, reported The Daily Chilli.
According to a netizen, she wed a Caucasian man known only as John in 2009, and their relationship got started with the help of Malaysian singer-songwriter, Eric Moo.

John, who has a six-year-old son, was said to have fallen in love with Pan at first sight after her met her by chance at a supermarket. The couple dated briefly before John decided to surprise Pan on her 22nd birthday by proposing to her.
John sought the help of Moo to write a proposal song, which moved Pan to tears. She agreed to marry him on April 3.

Now he’s setting his sights on the infamous lawless South American zone trisected by Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay, where competing crime organizations and law enforcement agencies fight for the upper hand.
Padilha has teamed up with Gran Torino scribe Nick Schenk for Tri-Border, a political action film that will be in English. Padilha is self-financing development.

Tri-Border centers on a Boston-based DEA agent who is unwillingly sent to Paraguay for having busted the son of an US senator during a drug raid. The script will explore the ins-and-outs of the different crime organizations and law enforcement agencies in the tri-border zone, as the agent strives to understand how the place works in order to capture his ticket back home, a leading drug dealer.
“The idea is to have a political film hidden inside an action film, a film that can entertain and teach people about the tri-border and the international crime in general,” Padilha writes in an email to THR from the region, where he and Schenk are conducting research.
“How can you write about something like the tri-border area without ever seeing it first hand?” Schenk writes in between rides on boats, planes and helicopters. “I've learned that landlocked Paraguay has a Navy. I've also learned that the Brazilian Federal Police and the Paraguayan Navy commonly exchange gunfire on the river that separates the two countries.”

Padilha says he considers Elite Squad to be a more local story, while Tri-Border will be a tale of international consequence. “It’s a different reality, in a totally different environment: the frontier of three countries, in which one finds many different players operating, ranging from Italian, Chinese and Serbian mafias, to Bolivian, Colombian and Brazilian drug dealers, including Lebanese smugglers suspected of helping Hamas and Hezbollah, as well as corrupted police and politicians from Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina,” he writes.
The tri-border region is the subject of another high-profile film project, Triple Frontier, which is in development with Hurt Locker filmmakers Kathryn Bigelow and Mark Boal. But that project is now on hold as the duo concentrate on their film chronicling the hunt for Osama Bin Laden.

While praising Catherine Zeta-Jones for her support during his cancer battle, Michael Douglas has revealed that his actress wife had never 'complained' she was struggling to cope.
The 'Wall Street' actor said Zeta-Jones - who earlier this year spent time as an in patient at the Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, Connecticut, to deal with Bipolar II disorder - is now getting better.

"She's doing fine. She's been back working on her movie in Louisianaand she's feeling great," Contactmusic quoted Douglas as telling Britain's OK! Magazine.
"Catherine's a very strong woman and she's had a lot to deal with. She was so supportive and caring of me that she couldn't tell me or anyone else she was having a tough time herself.
"She's not the type of person to complain she's depressed when her husband is fighting cancer," he said.

James Arness

The name James Arness may mean very little to younger viewers, but he was one of television’s biggest stars — literally and figuratively — as Marshal Matt Dillon on “Gunsmoke” for 20 years.
While John Wayne reigned at the movie theater, Arness was the preeminent western star on the small screen from 1955 to 1975. The CBS drama was one of TV’s biggest hits. It places No. 2 — behind only “60 Minutes” — on the Top 100 Series of All Time, according to “The Complete Directory to Prime Time Network and Cable TV Shows.”
Arness, who died Friday at age 88, pulled off the hardest kind of acting on “Gunsmoke.” He made a forceful and enduring impression with a subtle, determined approach. He didn’t hog the screen or chew the scenery. He simply was Matt Dillon.
At 6-foot-7, he was hard to ignore. He was nominated for an Emmy three times, and the series was named best drama once.
Arness helped make his co-stars look good: Dennis Weaver as Chester and Milburn Stone as Doc won Emmys; Amanda Blake was a nominee as Miss Kitty.

The Arness style wore well over 635 episodes as ”Gunsmoke” grew from half-hour to hour, changed from black-and-white to color and moved time slots on CBS. “Gunsmoke” was a huge hit in the 1950s. When it aired on Saturdays, it ranked No. 1 four times for a season. (Ah, for the days when networks put top series on Saturdays.) And ”Gunsmoke” was a Top 10 hit all over again when CBS moved the western to Mondays in the 1960s.
“I never had a time when I thought, gee, I’ve been doing this long enough, I’ve got to go do something else,” he once said.
And a good thing for viewers. Arness was such an iconic presence that he embodied law and order before there was a series with that name; Jerry Orbach had a similar impact a generation later as Lennie Briscoe on “Law & Order.”
Those of us watched “Gunsmoke” when it first aired may not remember the plots, but Arness made an unforgettable impression as an actor and a crime deterrent.

The Brazilian filmmaker is already slated to direct the long-gestating reboot of RoboCop, but now Jose Padilha has another project for his future slate as well. Heat Vision reports the Elite Squad director is set to helm a new thriller from Gran Torino writer Nick Schenk. Called Tri-Border, the film, being shot in English, takes place in the infamous lawless South American zone trisected by Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay, where competing crime organizations and law enforcement agencies fight for the upper hand. Surprisingly, this has nothing to do with Kathryn Bigelow's Triple Frontier, that deals with the same setting.

Sounds pretty intense, but I'm wondering if this will have any affect on Kathryn Bigelow's other project. Right now she's busy that that untitled Osama Bin Laden/Seal Team Six film, so who knows what will happen. However, with all the good things I'm hearing about Elite Squad, I think Padilha is going to be a name to keep an eye on, especially with RoboCop.

Pink now has a little one to swaddle in pink!
The singer, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore, gave birth to a daughter on Thursday and announced the news via Twitter.
“We are ecstatic to welcome our new beautiful healthy happy baby girl, Willow Sage Hart. She’s gorgeous, just like her daddy. #beyondblessed,” PinkTweeted referring to husband Carey Hart.
On Wednesday she sent a vague message to her Twitter followers, writing, “New Moon in Gemini today :) a good time to start something new…. Also called the Honey Moon. #intoit,”
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Pink believes her husband will make an excellent father.

“[Carey] is so excited,” Pink told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush in a November 2010 interview. “He’s wanted to be a dad since – I mean, we’ve been together nine years on and off, and he brought it up two weeks after we met. So, he’s wonderful.
“He’s going to be a really, really cute daddy,” she added.
Pink confirmed her pregnancy on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on November 15, telling the talk show host, “I’m eating for two these days.”
Baby Willow is the couple’s first child. Pink and Carey first met in 2001 and wed in 2006. They separated in 2008 and in February 2010 announced they were together again.

Pink has given birth to a baby girl with husband Carey Hart.
"We are ecstatic to welcome our new beautiful healthy happy baby girl, Willow Sage Hart," the singer tweeted late Thursday (June 2). "She's gorgeous, just like her daddy. #beyondblessed."
After rumors about her pregnancy surfaced in the fall, Pink confirmed the happy news on "The Ellen DeGeneres" show in November. Telling the talk-show host that she's "glowing," Pink added, "I'm eating for two these days. ... I worked for it. ... It was not an 'Oops!' "

Pink explained that she and Hart hadn't responded to the speculation in the week since the rumors first emerged because she had suffered a miscarriage in the past. "I was just really nervous," Pink said on the show. "I have had a miscarriage before, but if I was going to talk about it with anyone, it was going to be with you."
Before the "Ellen" appearance, the doctor had warned Pink that she would have a baby girl, but the pop star didn't want to believe it at the time. "I'm terrified, because she thinks it's a girl! My mom has always wished me a daughter just like me. I'm terrified one of us will go to jail."
Pink and Hart married in January 2006, separated in early 2008, and thengot back together in the spring of 2009. Willow Sage is the first baby for both celebrities.

Jack Kevorkian

Jack Kevorkian, a retired pathologist who helped dozens of ailing people to end their lives, has died in a Detroit hospital after a short illness. He was 83.
Kevorkian, who claimed he had helped about 130 people to kill themselves between 1990 and 1999, died at William Beaumont hospital in Michigan, close friend Mayer Morganroth said.
Nicknamed Dr Death, Kevorkian came to prominence in 1990 when he used his homemade "suicide machine" in his rusted Volkswagen van to inject lethal drugs into an Alzheimer's disease patient who sought his help.
He had been hospitalised since last month with pneumonia and kidney problems, Morganroth said. An official cause of death had not been determined, but Morganroth said it was likely to have been pulmonary thrombosis.
"I had seen him earlier and he was conscious," said Morganroth, who added that the two spoke about Kevorkian's pending release from hospital and planned start of rehabilitation. "Then I left and he took a turn for the worse and I went back."
Nurses played music by Bach for Kevorkian before he died, Morganroth said.
Kevorkian was freed in June 2007 after serving eight years of a 10 to 25-year sentence for second-degree murder. His lawyers had said he suffered from Hepatitis C, diabetes and other problems, and he had promised in affidavits that he would not assist in a death if he was released.

In 2008, he ran for Congress as an independent, receiving just 2.7% of the vote in the suburban Detroit district. He said his experience showed the party system was "corrupt" and "has to be completely overhauled from the bottom up."
His life story became the subject of the 2010 HBO movie You Don't Know Jack, which earned actor Al Pacino Emmy and Golden Globe awards for his portrayal of Kevorkian. Pacino paid tribute to Kevorkian during his Emmy acceptance speech, saying that he had enjoyed trying to "portray someone as brilliant and interesting and unique" as Kevorkian and that it was a "pleasure to know him".
Kevorkian said he liked the movie and enjoyed the attention it generated, but doubted it would inspire much action by a new generation of assisted-dying advocates.
"You'll hear people say, 'Well, it's in the news again, it's time for discussing this further.' No it isn't. It's been discussed to death," he said. "There's nothing new to say about it. It's a legitimate ethical medical practice, as it was in ancient Rome and Greece."
Eleven years earlier he was sentenced in relation to the 1998 death of a amyotrophic lateral sclerosis – or Lou Gehrig's disease – patient, a videotaped death shown to a national television audience as Kevorkian challenged prosecutors to charge him.
"The issue's got to be raised to the level where it is finally decided," he said.
For nearly a decade, he escaped authorities' efforts to stop him. His first four trials, all on assisted-dying charges, resulted in three acquittals and one mistrial.
Murder charges in earlier cases were thrown out because Michigan at that time had no law against assisted-dying. The legislature wrote one in response to Kevorkian. He was stripped of his medical licence.

Billy Bob Thornton

The daughter of actor Billy Bob Thornton was found guilty of manslaughter in the death of an infant Wednesday, but a Florida jury acquitted her on murder and child-abuse charges, a court spokeswoman said.
Amanda Brumfield, 32, was accused in the October 2008 death of 1-year-old Olivia Madison Garcia, who she was babysitting when the child fell and suffered fatal injuries. Her trial ended Wednesday in Orlando, Florida, according to court spokesman Karen Connolly Levey.
Thornton released a statement through his publicist a year ago when Brumfield was charged.

The actor is estranged from his daughter "and has had no contact with her for quite some time," publicist Arnold Robinson said.
"When informed about this situation, he (Thornton) commented that, 'Anytime a baby's life is lost is an unimaginable tragedy and my heart goes out to the baby's family and loved ones,' " Robinson told CNN in a written statement.

Amanda Brumfield, the estranged daughter of actor Billy Bob Thornton, was found guilty of manslaughter last Friday in an Orlando, Florida courthouse. Her trial concerned her involvement in the death of a friend’s baby. She was found not guilty on the charge of first-degree murder.
According to People, Brumfield contends that 1-year-old Olivia Madison Garcia’s death was accidental. She asserts that the child fell a short distance out a playpen while she was babysitting. However, prosecutors did not think that such a fall would lead to a skull fracture, as well as bleeding and swelling of the brain.

TheHollywoodGossip.com reports that Brumfield will be sentenced in July. Her trial took place in the same courtroom as the Casey Anthony trial.
According to his Wikipedia page, Billy Bob Thornton has been married five times and has four children. All of his marriages ended in divorce.

A series of widely circulated photographs purporting to show "Gossip Girl" actress Blake Lively posing naked are "100 percent fake," her spokeswoman said on Tuesday.
The Internet was abuzz late in the day as the five photos of a naked busty blond taking snapshots of herself with an iPhone in front of a bathroom mirror spread among major gossip websites.
"Blake Lively won't be happy about this," said celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, noting that the 23-year-old starlet has just reportedly started dating Leonardo DiCaprio.
Rival site Zap2It, noting the early-generation iPhone and different shaped nose, suggested the pictures were several years old.
In four of the pictures, the woman's face was partially concealed by her phone. The fifth was too blurry to make a definitive call. But a spokeswoman for the squeaky-clean actress was in doubt.
"The photos of Blake Lively which have just surfaced on various websites ... are 100 percent FAKE," the spokeswoman said. "Blake has never taken nude photos of herself."

Moreover, Lively will take legal action against any outlets that publish the photos, the spokeswoman added.
Lively rose to fame in the teen television soap "Gossip Girl," and had a sex scene in the 2010 crime thriller "The Town." Earlier this year she signed on as the new face of French fashion house Chanel's Mademoiselle handbag ad campaign.

Photos that are surfacing online purportedly showing Blake Livelynaked are "100 percent FAKE," the actress's rep tells PEOPLE. "Blake has never taken nude photos of herself."

Lively, 23, the star of Gossip Girland movies including The Townand Green Lantern, plans to fight the dissemination of the images.

Says the rep: "Blake will pursue legal action against the publication which initially published these photographs and any other outlets that republish them in any manner."

Marilyn Monroe

Talk about a garage sale find - a New Jersey man recently rediscovered an envelope of negatives he bought for $2 in the 1980s, which turned out to be rare pictures of Hollywood icons Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield.

Anton Fury didn't do anything with them at the time, according to reports, but he found the negatives again earlier this year after a flood at his studio forced him to clean out his belongings.

Fury, a photographer, told the New York Daily News that 33 of the images are of Monroe (you can see some of them here), and another 71 are of Mansfield. He took the images to David Streets, a Beverly Hills art dealer and appraiser, who thinks the Monroe images were taken around 1950.

"This is before she became the iconic Marilyn Monroe," Streets noted.

Monroe would have been 24 in 1950, a big year for the then-still-unknown actress due to her roles in "The Asphalt Jungle" and "All About Eve." According to CNN, she wore two bathing suits (one of them a bikini) and short pants for the poolside shoot.

The mystery surrounding the photos - including who took them - is what Streets said drew him in.

"The fun part about it is we're all kind of sharing in the beginning stages," Streets told the Daily News. "The adventure is going to be finding out where, who, what, why and when."

Hong Kong screen veteran Patrick Tse on Tuesday let slip that his son Nicholas Tse has indeed been fighting with wife his Cecilia Cheung, reported Hong Kong media.

"It is a small matter; don't know why it kept getting escalated [by the media].

"Which couple doesn't fight?" said Patrick Tse, when asked if the statements made by popular Hong Kong radio personality Eileen Cha are true.

Cha had earlier claimed that Nicholas Tse and Cheung are now a couple in name only and are on the brink of separation after fighting for some time.

She further alleged that Cheung had demanded her husband turn over virtually all his assets to her, adding that cracks in their marriage had appeared long before Cheung's widely reported meeting with Hong Kong actor Edison Chen last month.

Patrick Tse expressed that he was furious with Cha for interfering with his family's affairs and said her comments were as irresponsible as they were inaccurate.

"What right does she have to talk about things?

"I will scold her if I see her. After all, these are somebody else's family matters. How can she know when even I don't?" said Tse.

Despite raising the ire of many netizens and Patrick Tse for her comments on Cheung's marriage, Cha maintained that she had done nothing wrong.

"I don't want to comment on this further.

"I only did what I should do from a journalist's standpoint, just reporting the truth," said Cha.

If you woke up to the news that Will Smith died Tuesday morning, you aren't alone. Word on the web is that the actor fell off a cliff while in New Zealand filming Men in Black III.
Yet as quickly as Twitter users can gasp, "Will Smith died?!?" reports are surfacing that the 42-year-old is still alive and kicking. NZ Herald reports, "Actor Will Smith last night became the latest celebrity to not fall to his death near the Kauri Cliffs resort in Northland. Internet hoaxes have plagued the five-star resort, located 17 km north of Kerikeri."
They continue, "In 2006, Tom Hanks didn't die there, while two years later, Tom Cruise didn't meet a similar fate. The fictitious curse also ensnared Jeff Goldblum and Orlando Bloom."
While we're happy to put the Will Smith died rumors to rest, we can confirm the Sean Kingston accident reports are terribly accurate.
As we reported on Sunday, Sean Kingston crashed his jet ski into a bridge over the holiday weekend. The Beautiful Girlssinger and a female companion were rescued from the water and taken to the hospital.

Sean Kingston (birth name Kisean Anderson) was taken to the ICU and has since been stabilized and moved into critical care. TMZ reports that alcohol has been ruled out as a contributing factor in the jet ski crash.
A report from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission reads, "Anderson was operating a PWC [personal watercraft] with a female passenger westbound along McArthur Cswy towards the Palm Ave bridge. Anderson struck the bridge and was transported to Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition."
So there you have it -- the Will Smith died rumors are a total hoax, while the Sean Kingston accident report is totally true.

Leann Rimes

Country cutie LeAnn Rimes is becoming an expert at getting a rise out of her 130,000+ Twitter followers.
On March 29, the seriously thin singer, who is currently on her honeymoon in Mexico with Eddie Cibrian,tweeted a series of provocative photos of herself in a blue string bikini, with her ribs clearly visible and hip bones protruding.
Naturally, her legion of Twitter followers chimed in, concerned about shrinking figure, including @AJPatterson1987 who tweeted, “Whoa, you’re scary skinny! Sorry don’t mean to offend but that’s a lot of bones showing through skin…”
Rimes defensively tweeted back: “Those are called abs not bones love,” adding after the fan once again voiced her concern, “Thx but this is my body and I can promise you I’m a healthy girl. I’m just lean. Thx for your concern but no need to be.”
Later, @AJPatterson1987 tweeted to another fan, “Love her and all but I agree, that’s not a good image to project & she’s in severe denial if she thinks that’s muscle!”
This isn’t the first time Rimes has caused alarm by posting bikini shots.

In April she took a photograph of her lower half in a yellow bikini with the caption, “First sun!!!!! SPRING!!!”
After fans tweeted their concern, Rimes shot back with a series of tweets, including, “you don’t know me, you have NO idea what I weigh or eat, so why should you have any opinion about my weight?”
Rimes defensively added, “I own that I am healthy and take dang goof care of my body, that’s what I own,” and finally signed off with, “Dear lord! I do not work out too much nor do I starve myself. I’m so over this and moving on.”
