The jackpot for Saturday’s Powerball lottery climbed to $120 million after no players matched all six numbers in Wednesday night’s drawing.
One Georgia player matched the first five numbers drawn Wednesday night -- 7, 12, 13, 42 and 49 -- but not the Power Ball, which was16. That player won $200,000.
Wednesday’s drawing, which was scheduled to take place at 10:59 p.m., was delayed by a technical problem, but the numbers were picked about 10 minutes later.
If a player matches all six numbers in Saturday night’s game and chooses the cash option, that player will win an estimated $62.6 million before taxes.
The jackpot for Friday’s Mega Millions multi-state lottery is $16 million.
