MTV Movie Awards

Jim Carrey's appearances at the MTV Movie Awards are the stuff of legend. Who could forget the time he showed up dressed as a Jim Morrison-esque hippie when he won for Best Male Performance in 1999, drinking and smoking all night?
The funnyman is back again this year, and supervising producer Jane Mun promises that this appearance will live up to Carrey's rep for unpredictable hilarity.
"Jim Carrey is the most-nominated MTV Movie Awards star," Mun shared with MTV News. "Jim Carrey always comes to play. And he will be playing this Sunday!"
The actor would only give some outlandish hints about what he'd be wearing for his latest appearance. "I'm wearing a suit that I've had made," he told us. "It's the latest in nanotechnology, so I'm able to project whatever I want on it."
Carrey and the Movie Awards go way back. He won his first prize back in 1995, Best Kiss for smooching Lauren Holly in "Dumb and Dumber."
In 2006, when he won the Generation Award, he donned a cultish white gown and was followed by dozens of people dressed as angels as he accepted his award from Will Ferrell, who called the star "brilliant" and a "talented son of a bitch" thanks to his versatility in the world of film.
Carrey joked of his rank as the biggest winner of all time. "Why am I so blessed?" he asked onstage that year. "Why is my life so miraculous? Why do so many struggle with fame while I'm able to float effortlessly on the upper edges of the Hollywood status-phere? You like that word 'status-phere'? I made it up last night. I made up a word."
When he won for Best Comedic Performance in 2009 for "Yes Man," he "accidentally" shared his inner monologue instead of a planned speech. "I was choking in front of the world ... in front of the good-looking kid from 'Twilight.' "
So, what exactly will Carrey be up to when he takes the stage this year? Mun teased, "He is going to be dressed to the nines with something else."
While there are many folks lined up to present at the show, Carrey is bound to be a highlight of the evening. Other attendees include Emma Stone, Generation Award winner Reese Witherspoon, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Selena Gomez, Cameron Diaz, Leighton Meester, Katie Cassidy, Shia LaBeouf, Patrick Dempsey and Josh Duhamel, and many more.
