The 19-year-old gave a stunning performance on tonight’s show – and will now be praying he’s made tomorrow night’s grand final.
Michael Collings sang his heart out on tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent semi-final, desperate to land himself a coveted spot in tomorrow’s grand final.
The 19-year-old IT engineer and new dad sang Paul Weller's, Hanging on the Wire. The singer, who said he hadn’t performed in front of more than 40 people before his BGT audition, became an internet sensation after his audition on BGT.
Turning up in a casual orange fleece to perform, the judges and the audience weren’t expecting much, but were soon left stunned by Michael’s soulful voice – a similar reaction to the one seen two years ago when Scottish star Susan Boyle performed.
The young singer receieved a rapturous applause from the audience, and a unanimous backing from the judges.

Simon Cowell kicked off the comments with: "You know what , when you've got it you've got it. You don't need dancers or effects. You've got a great voice, I though tthat was absolutely  fantastic."

David Hassellhoff was next up, and couldn't have been more supportive.

He said: "All night long I've been trying to make sense of the show. Tonight you blew me away from the moment you walked on the stage. I expect to see alot more of you for the rest of my life."

Michael McIntyre showed his softer side by alluding to the singer's new venture into fatherhood.
He said: "Jamie's (Colling's new son) will be so proud of you. It's an amazing thing that you've started this whole new life and new thing with a new baby. You've got soul in your voice, amazing!"

Amanda Holden simply said: "You don't need anything else, you are the voice Michael, well done."
Michael will now need to wait and see if they’ve made it to the next round of BGT just yet as the decision now lies with the public, who will vote to select the acts they want to see in the grand final.
Other acts performing on tonight’s semi-final included Pip & Puppy, Marawa the Amazing, Mr & Mrs, Follow The Right Path, Antonio Popeye, The Celtic Colleens, Michael Moral andRazy Gogonea.
Now Michael joins the other acts who are already through. They include singer Ronan Parke, pianist Paul Gbegbaje, boy band New Bounce, concert keyboard player Jean Martyn, impressionist Les Gibson dancers James Hobley and Steven Hall, and singer Jai McDowell have secured places into Saturday’s grand final.
