Heidi Jones, Weather WABC was suspended today pending further investigations. It was for filing a false report of being arrested sexually abused.
Weather anchor said police from a Hispanic man was it a violation was attacked. This occurred when Jones allegedly was in Central Park, on 24 September 2010. However, it has since admitted he made up the story.
It seems that the police were suspicious when their stories were inconsistent and did not find witnesses to the attack. He also wondered why Jones waited two months to the report of the attempted rape.
Authorities believe that this false accusation was a call to the attention of Jones.
