Anthony Pettis Kick

Friday, December 17, 2010
Anthony Pettis had the courage to be a free-kick in the story, which described only as an act of faith.

In the final minutes of a memorable affair for five rounds, with results still in doubt, Pettis ran on the side of the cage, jumped forward in one fluid motion and made a clean shot to the head of the king WEC lightweight Benson Henderson. The highlight was the champion level, and although the fighting ended, paving the way to a unanimous decision at WEC 53 title Thursday at the Pettis Jobing.com Arena in Glendale, Arizona

All three judges for Pettis, 48-47, 48-47 and 49-46. He meets the winner of the next fight of the UFC 125, between world champion Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard in a Ibragimov later in 2011.
